Abseiling Activities in the Lake District
New for 2007 - This activity is an absolute must for anyone!
At Holmescales activity centre in the Lake District, we have a 120ft abseil where you will feel pure exhilaration as you lean back over the edge! Take control of your decent as you lower yourself down the rock face onto our boardwalk. Once you have your feet firmly on the ground you can take your time to walk out of the flooded quarry floor on to the timber walkway. On the way out you are likely to encounter peregrine falcons, ravens or event a great crested newt!
Zip Wire
Holmescales is home to one of the largest zipwires in private hands. Over a distance of 450 ft you will descend some 120 feet and reach speeds of over 45 kmph. This activity is an essential ingredient of any team building event.
