The LANTRA training course is ideal for companies who need to comply with their training duty of care to their staff under the PUWER (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations) and the Health and Safety at Work Act. LANTRA training courses are recognised by the HSE and are seen as the industry standard for all operators.

With over 300 acres of private land to work in, and with terrain covering tarmac, concrete, gravel tracks, industrial land, rocky outcrops, fields, farmland, grass, mud and water crossings, we feel that our course is one of the finest 4x4 training sites in the UK.

Starting with theory work in our comfortable conference rooms, leading on to extensive practical training, the courses cover:

  • Legal issues with driving off road and 4x4 vehicles for work
  • Vehicle and safety checks
  • Risk assessment
  • Response to terrain
  • Clearances
  • Vehicle limitations
  • Loss of traction
  • Crossing hazards
  • Hill ascents and descents
  • Dangers of vehicle recovery

All of our training courses are carried out by Beyond Driving – a LANTRA training provider whose instructors who are qualified by LANTRA and the DSA, ensuring that your training is both legal and fulfils all of the competency requirements necessary.

Course prices range from £220/candidate for the 1 day experienced user course, to £400/candidate for the 2 day full certification course. These prices are based on a minimum of 3 drivers sharing the training in their own vehicles. Quotes for training will depend on your requirements and all training is tailored to the needs of your company and your drivers.

Course prices range from £300/candidate for the 2 candidates on the 1 day course, to £260/candidate for 4 candidates on the 2 day full certification course. These prices are based on a minimum numbers sharing the training using their own machines. Quotes for training will depend on your requirements and all training is tailored to the needs of your company and your drivers.
