Sheep Herding in the Lake District

This is a fantastic activity, whether you are looking for a great experience with a group of friends or a team in the workplace, you will be guaranteed to have a giggle you will never forget!

It is essential for this activity to be a success, that delegates work together closely as a team.

Sheep herding came about after a valued client of ours were organising a multi activity event. They wanted to do the same activities as one of their previous team’s earlier visit to the centre. However, they also wanted to incorporate an activity which was “out of the ordinary” and something particularly linked with the surrounding Lakeland area and tradition.

We devised sheep herding, as the Lakeland fells are home to thousands of sheep and our local town of Kendal was built on the wool trade and the town’s motto is “Wool is my Bread”.

BRIEFING:

On arrival your team are briefed by our shepherd on how to move the sheep slowly and quietly around a course, between gates to reach fresh grass in the adjacent field. Your team’s positioning and organisation are essential and Fly the sheep dog is on hand for any emergencies!

The team gain points for each sheep that completes the course correctly.

THIS IS A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO TRY SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, CLOSE TO NATURE AND TRADITION, IN THE BEAUTIFUL LAKELAND COUNTRYSIDE.
